Where to go with your boat?

Your Amsterdam canal tour starts and ends at our new location bordering the ‘Jordaan’, a very popular and attractive area in the western city center.

From our dock you can choose between several different routes. You can either make your own route or follow one of our suggestions. We have suggestions for a two hour canal tour and a three hour canal tour. Both of them combine some of the finest canals in town with a central and lively stretch of the Amstel river.

For safety reasons the IJ, port area, Nieuwe Herengracht, Kostverlorenvaart and Nieuwe Meer are forbidden areas.

Jordaan canal tour

The ‘Jordaan’ area: plenty of options before or after your boat trip

The ‘Jordaan’ is one of the most popular and lively neighbourhoods in town. Although densely populated, it definitely has a small scale charm with its many narrow and quiet streets and canals. There is a very diverse range of bars and resaurants, many of them with nice outdoor terraces. And while strolling through the Jordaan area you will also find many unique specialty shops (fashion, art, jewelry, decoration, gifts etc).

Other nearby sites worth a visit are the Westerchurch, the Anne Frank House, the Foodhallen, the Vondelpark and the Leidseplein. All of these are within walking distance from our dock.

Frequently asked questions about our location

Yes, we have. From 2013 till 2020 our dock was at the Westerpark. Due to maintenance works on a nearby bridge we had to move temporarily. Thankfully, we found a very good alternative location: on Nassaukade opposite house number 155.

No, we temporarily had to leave the Westerpark due to maintenance works on a nearby bridge. After completion we will return to the Westerpark.

Our dock is on Nassaukade, opposite house number 155. Please don’t enter or ring the bell at house number 155, but come straight to our dock in the canal. We’ll meet you there!

We’re on the border of the Jordaan, a very lively and beloved area in the western city center.

The easiest and fastest way to get to us from Central Station is by taxi (max. 15 minutes and 15,-) or by bike. Tram lines 13 and 17 are also fine. Get off at Marnixstraat and walk two minutes in the same direction. When crossing the first bridge you will see our dock in the canal on your left hand side.

Walk on Rozengracht in westerly direction for about 10 minutes. When crossing the second bridge, you will see our dock in the canal on Nassaukade on the left hand side.

Alternatively, catch a tram on Westermarkt (either tram line 13 to Geuzenveld or tram line 17 to Osdorp), get off at the very next stop (Marnixstraat) and continue walking into the same direction for about 2 minutes. Now you will see our dock in the canal on Nassaukade on the left hand side when crossing the first bridge.

The nearest car park is Q-park Europarking, five minutes by foot.

There are bicycle racks right next to our dock.

Tram lines 3, 5, 7, 13, 17 and 19 all have stops near our dock. And so do (regional) busses 80, 347, 357 and 397.

We are in the city center, on the western side of it. Your boat trips starts by entering the very picturesque Jordaan. And just a few minutes later you will be on Prinsengracht, the most famous canal of the World Heritage Area.

The choice is yours. You can either go your own way, or take one of our suggested routes. These route suggestions are always part of the personal instruction that you will receive before departure. And they are also clearly indicated on the map that’s included.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a washroom at our dock. So please make sure to go to the toilet before you come to our dock. Of course it is possible to take a toilet break during your boat trip.

The nearest supermarket is Sterk Amsterdam, just one minute by foot from our dock.

* strolling and shopping in the Jordaan
* chilling on a water front terrace at Waterkant
* visiting the Westerchurch and/or Anne Frank House
* relaxing in the Vondelpark
* enjoying food and drinks and/or a movie at the Foodhallen/Filmhallen

Yes, plenty!  These are some of our favorites:
* Waterkant
* Brandstof
* Karavaan
* Sound Garden

Unfortunately, we don’t have storage facilities at our dock. But it’s fine to take your luggage on your boat.
